We’ve engaged in natural sound creation in the town with a history of more than 400 years surrounded by the bountiful sea. The root of our sound creation is “music comes from rich spirit”. Our sound comes from the comfort of sea breeze and the sunshine filtering through foliage. Warm hearts and breadth of minds make us produce unique products, which enrich your heart too.
  • Bamboo Factory in The City of Forest
  • My idea to become a bamboo crafter and create kokeshi was influenced by a single item: an ornamental earpick. The top end of that earpick was decorated with a charming kokeshi doll, and I immediately though to myself “I want to make this kind of doll out of a single piece of bamboo.” Since then, my workshop has expanded to offer a near-infinite range of kokeshi goods including earpicks, decorative straps, chopstick holders, chopsticks, hairpins, and more. I invite you to enjoy the world of kokeshi dolls. My works have been broadcasted at TVs (KHB and MMT), radios (TBS), and newspapers (Kohoku Weekly Sendai and Oasis).
